Motivational Book Aims to Instill Inspiration

Author Cory Cabri’s book, When I Grow Up, was displayed in the 2016 AJC Decatur Book Festival, the largest independent book festival in the United States. The event was held from September 2 to 4, at the 101 E. Court Square, located in Decatur, Georgia.

The coming-of-age book tells the story of Timothy Wiseman, a young man who thought becoming an adult would help him overcome the constant struggles he faced. He became bitter inside as a result of the constant verbal, emotional, and physical abuse he received from everyone around him. Timothy became unruly and rebelled against every individual that tried to lord over him. While on this rebellious path, he encountered Yeshua, a force that he was unable to resist. Timothy then submitted his life to Yeshua after realizing that He is the best force to be subjected to. In turn, Yeshua taught Timothy the true meaning of growing up is overcoming obstacles that try to beset him from choosing life.

When I Grow Up is aimed at young adults, middle-aged folks, and elderly people. Apart from being an enjoyable read, the book is also proof that struggles can be overcome through faith in God.

Cory Cabri was born in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Aside from being an ordained minister of the gospel, he’s a mechanical engineer for a major oil and gas company. He currently resides in Houston, Texas.
