Hospice care uses a team approach in caring for individuals facing a life-limiting illness, also providing support for their families and caregivers. Hospice care is usually provided in a patient’s home or wherever a patient calls “home” such as in assisted living, skilled nursing, or residential care facilities. Since 1978, The Elizabeth Hospice has touched the lives of more than 90,000 individuals and provides comprehensive services throughout San Diego and the Inland Empire. Thanks to the continued charitable support from the community, The Elizabeth Hospice has never turned away a hospice-eligible patient because of limited or no financial resources to pay for hospice care.
