Anneros Valensi’s book, Where Is Home? How a Childhood in East Germany during World War II Shaped My Adult Life, makes an appearance at the 23rd Beijing International Book Fair. LitFire Publishing featured the book from August 24 to 28, 2016. The event was held at China International Exhibition Center in Chaoyang Qu, Beijing, China.

The book is a narrative on how Valensi and her family survived World War II. With the Russians occupying East Germany, families were forced to leave their houses, drifting from one town to another. The war proved traumatic, but Valensi held on to the hope of finding a place she and her family could call their own.
“It shares the realities of what life was like during that time and how we managed to stay alive. I recall the wartime, beginning with the cruel Russian occupation of my homeland, the trauma of an unsettled life, and how my family survived,” the author says.
