The Beijing International Book Fair celebrated its 23rd edition on August 24–28, 2016, at the China International Exhibition Center. Among the books that were highlighted in the fair was Andrew Fitzpatrick’s The Imprisonment of Self.

Andrew has been a Catholic all his life. He hopes to be able to pass down his love for the Church and history to his eight children. They inspired him to write this book.

About the Author

Andrew Fitzpatrick is a homeschooling father of eight children. He once served the United States Marines. After having been raised in the Church and almost exclusively attending Catholic schools, Fitzpatrick left the Church for more than five years to begin his quest to understanding his faith. The author’s quest led him back to understand the Catholic faith of his youth.
