Carol Cowan Lanyon recalls her childhood, and the adventures she took with her mother in the book, Miz Bambo.  This poignant memoir details how Lanyon’s adventures with her mother changed her life.  
 
In the book, Lanyon chronicles her experiences from childhood, including the time she lost her father. After her father’s unexpected death, Bambo—Lanyon’s mother—sent her to a boarding school. Few years after that, Bambo and Lanyon spent time in Europe, and the trip led to new things for both Lanyon and Bambo. The trip and the events that followed it taught Lanyon the most important lessons she would ever learn in her life.

About the Author

Carol Craig Cowan-Lanyon was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. She studied in the University of Arizona and got her undergraduate degree there in 1985. She then got a master’s degree in early Florentine Renaissance art history while in Europe.
