Dallas Asbestos Testing Laboratory Receives TEM NVLAP Accreditation
EMSL Analytical gains bulk and airborne asbestos fiber analysis accreditation from NVLAP.
EMSL Analytical, Inc. is proud to announce that its Dallas laboratory has been accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) for bulk and airborne asbestos fiber analysis (NVLAP Lab Code: 600111-0).
Through the NVLAP program, laboratories are accredited in accordance with International Standard ISO/IEC 17025. The NVLAP accreditation process demonstrates technical competence for a defined scope and operation of a laboratory quality management system.
EMSL has been at the forefront of providing routine and specialized testing services to help identify materials and environmental samples that contain asbestos. “We are pleased to receive this accreditation which will expand our quality asbestos testing services to Dallas and the surrounding area,” said Ed Cahill, Vice President of EMSL’s Asbestos Division. “EMSL is continually working to attain new qualifications and services to better assist our clients and future partners throughout the United States and Canada.”
EMSL Dallas is also accredited through the American Industrial Hygiene Associate (AIHA) Environmental Microbiology Proficiency Analytical Testing (EMPAT) for fungi. The laboratory is also approved by the Texas Department of State Health Services for polarized light microscopy (PLM) asbestos analysis.
