Anthology of Soul-Soothing Poetry Featured in the 2016 BookExpo America

Last May 11 to 13, 2016, BookExpo America, the biggest gathering of book enthusiasts, authors, publishers, retailers, and other book-industry professionals, was held in McCormick Place, Chicago. Author Mihaela S. Hegstrom’s collection of uplifting poems was showcased in LitFire’s booth.

Praises in the Storm: A Collection of Poems is the English translation of Hegstrom’s Romanian book of poetry, Laude în Furtunӑ. Each poem was inspired by everyday living experiences. Hegstrom rhythmically strings words together to create an oasis of verses praising God and His encompassing love.

About the Author

Mihaela S. Hegstrom received her degree in mechanical engineering and teaching certificate from the University for Civil Engineers, Department of Mechanical Engineering, in Bucharest, Romania. She began writing poetry sporadically in high school and, later, more consistently as an adult. In 1979, she and her family relocated to the United States. She published her second book, The Mysteries of My Soul, last January 2016. Her greatest desire is to use her creative gift to bear fruit according to the will of God.
