“In this dark book of crime stories, you will read how criminals usually prey on their victims. You will know how families and friends of the victims react to the news of the crime. And hopefully, you will pick up some tips and tidbits on how to defend yourself from the common crimes that might happen to you on the streets or even at the comforts of your home”

Let your imagination take you to a dark and scary part of literature. But before you sit down and enjoy a thrilling read, you better lock your doors and be on your guard for uninvited visitors that might come along. That’s the kind of effect that Rosalie H. Contino, Ph.D. and other contributing writers want to achieve as they publish a book entitled Underground Stories.

Printed under LitFire Publishing, a self-publishing service provider, the book will take the readers’ imagination to various crime scenarios ranging from theft to murder.

The author has compiled numerous stories that will make you stay awake at night. With crime as the main theme of the book, you will read different tales about crime drama, political suspense, and edgy literature. But don’t let your heart skip a beat because there are also poems to soften the bold mix.

Rosalie doesn’t want to spook the reader and hinder him or her from reaching the last page. But she wants to warn them that some of these stories might deal with strong subjects while using strong languages. Therefore, she would not recommend this book to the weak of hearts.

Now, if you’re ready to explore the dark world of crimes, then you better grab a copy of Underground Stories. Or better yet, you can check it out during the 2015 New York State Reading Association trade show. The event will be on October 22-23, 2015 at Lake Placid, New York.
