Montreal, QC, Canada – Peck Tech Consulting Ltd. is pleased to announce that they have entered into a working relationship with Goldcorp Inc. – Porcupine Gold Mines (PGM) – at their Hoyle Pond Mine located in Timmins, Ontario. The intent of this relationship will be to define how the data from the uGPS Rapid Mapper™ product can be tightly integrated with their existing mine planning software while also ensuring more efficient and refined workflows to allow for its routine use in surveying tasks. The key objectives will be to better understand the value proposition for the existing uGPS Rapid Mapper™ product while also identifying next-generation applications that could be enabled.

The uGPS Rapid Mapper™ was the first mobile scanning sensor designed and purpose-built for the underground mining environment. Developed collaboratively by Peck Tech Consulting Ltd. and other industry partners, this mobile mapping system can be used for a variety of value-add applications, such as volume calculations, “will-it-fit” analyses, shaft and raise scanning, old works mapping and rapid development pick-ups.
