Getting to Know the Life of Alexander Pushkin

A biography of Alexander Pushkin, written by M.A. DuVernet, was published in 2014. According to the author, her book started out as a movie script during her days as a film student. She was inspired to write about Pushkin because of his poem, Ode to Liberty.

About the Author

M.A. DuVernet was born in Duluth, Minnesota, but was raised in the city of Minnetonka. Her birth name was Mindy Ann Vollmer. In 1991, she had graduated from the University of Minnesota. She was a single mother who raised her two daughters then. Now, she has three grandchildren and she currently lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Her first novel is Pushkin’s Ode to Liberty.
