Front Porch Tales is the story of Barbara Vanderstel as she grows up in the farm, works to raise tuition fees in high school, meets God, the savior of her life, attains a diploma in a writing course, and more things to be grateful for.

Filled with life lessons, her journey through life is blessed with God’s grace that inspires many. She says, “My life is not a perfect one. But, I’ve always known that there are greater things waiting for me. I just need to work my way to reach them. I’ve chosen to walk and work with God. I hope my book will bring comfort and motivation to its readers.”

Last May 11–13, 2016, Front Porch Tales had been featured to an international audience at LitFire’s booth during the BookExpo America. The event was held at McCormick Place, Chicago, where a number of book-industry professionals and fairgoers had gathered.

About the Author

Barbara L. Vanderstel earned a diploma in a two-year writing course from the Institute of Children’s Literature in Connecticut. She owned and managed a day care center in their town. She also authored A Book of Love, a collection of heartfelt short stories about her journey through life.
