Rich Gray of Montreat College praises the book, saying, “Characterization and thematic foreshadowing are strong. I like the epic layout of the story.”

Dictatorship and its evil influences are buoyantly captured in Horacio A. Hernández’s book, entitled The Incredible Wedding of a Dictator. The novel is an enticing mock epic, satirical, and allegorical.

It started with two godfathers who share their manuscripts about an imaginary community called Dolorosa Village and its origin. Following the rediscovery of the original journal of Christopher Columbus is the elevation of a cruel dictator, his overly elaborate wedding, and the struggle of a hero against his dictatorship. In the end, the great tsunami brings destruction to everything.

Rich Gray of Montreat College praises the book, saying, “Characterization and thematic foreshadowing are strong. I like the epic layout of the story.”

Entertaining and humorous, the book is a delightful blend of magical realism, historical fiction, mythology, folklore, and religion.
