Bob was diagnosed with schizophrenia and other ailments, resulting in his retirement from work. This event changed not only Bob’s life, but also Rosalie’s. Though it was upsetting, Rosalie still, without hesitation, took on the responsibility of taking care of Bob.
 
In this book, Rosalie recalls fond memories of her brother and how his struggles affected her. She warmly reiterates her brother’s waning life and shares how she managed to understand him and put things into perspective. This book is the manifestation of her reflections and lessons learned during the hardship.

LitFire republished this book in 2015 and featured it on several book fairs internationally and locally, including the recently concluded Tucson Festival of Books 2016. It was featured in LitFire’s booth during the said event last March 12 to 13 at the University of Arizona.

About the Author
Dr. Rosalie H. Contino got her degree in elementary education from Fordham University. She then earned her MA in educational theater and, later, a PhD in the same field from New York University. Apart from teaching in New York University, she also worked as a costume designer, costume consultant, and lecturer for productions and events. Rosalie is a published author and currently lives in Brooklyn.
