Book Highlights the Importance of a Mother-and-Daughter Relationship

Miz Bambo is a book dedicated to Carol Lanyon’s mother. Lanyon chronicles in it her life and the trip she took with her mother that changed her life forever.
 
After the sudden death of her father, Lanyon was sent to a boarding school. Her mother, Bambo, appeared to have moved on from the incident. During Lanyon’s junior year, Bambo took her abroad, and they traveled Europe together. The trip was something to be treasured, and the events that followed it taught Lanyon the most important lessons.
 
The book tells a unique story that emphasizes the value of a mother-and-daughter bond. Dagmar Nissen, an Amazon reviewer, says, “ had to read [the book] a second time to fully appreciate the richness of the words and [it] opens the door to a personal reflection of our own mother-child relationships.”

About the Author
Carol Craig Cowan-Lanyon was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas. She studied in the University of Arizona and got her undergraduate degree there in 1985. She then got a master’s degree in early Florentine renaissance art history while in Europe.
