Nobody wants unhappiness, pain or sadness, and yet many of us wake up feeling like that every single day. Living in peace, confidence, good health and happiness is not unattainable.

While everyone is trying to learn how to live a peaceful life that’s happy and healthy, unexpected obstacles and challenges can come at any time that cause stress and anxiety. Stress and anxiety affect most people at some stage in their lives. In fact, in the monotony of a fast-paced lifestyle, feeling stressed or anxious can even become a normalised occurrence.

Stress is a mandate saved in the physical body or the mind that can result in nervousness and frustration, while anxiety is a fear or a feeling of being uneasy or worried. Anxiety can be caused by a reaction to a stressful situation and can easily stop people from pursuing their passion and purpose. While feeling stressed and anxious can be a healthy reaction to a certain situation, when they begin to interfere with daily life, it indicates a more serious issue. www.thelifelinetechnique.com.au

Typically, stress is a mental or emotional response that can trigger things like panic, difficulty in concentrating, irrational anger and restlessness. Physical symptoms can include fatigue, insomnia, headaches and sweating. Stress, at its extreme, can lead to serious conditions like dementia, high blood pressure, digestive issues, Alzheimer’s Disease and depression.* It has also been suggested by research that both stress and anxiety can contract the parts of the brain that are involved in memory, emotional responses and thinking.

Holistic physician, author and developer of The LifeLine Technique – a philosophy, science and quantum technology that bridges the gap between the conscious and subconscious minds – Dr. Darren Weissman says symptoms of stress and disease are the language a person’s body uses to reveal unprocessed emotionally charged memories buried within the subconscious mind, usually created in the past, and in particular, childhood.  Using the LifeLine Technique, these symptoms become a doorway to create positive healing change by harmonising the emotions, resulting in an authentic awakening to create transforming life changes. www.thelifelinetechnique.com.au

Dr. Weissman says the most important thing that a human being can learn is how to process emotion and the importance of dealing with emotional pain. “Every symptom is a gift in a strange wrapping paper. The real self is the person who speaks his or her mind, shares feelings, shows emotions and is comfortable saying no when it’s appropriate.”

Like Dr. Weissman, The LifeLine Technique’s Australasian director of training, Diane McCann believes the subconscious is what runs humans, as conscious thoughts only make up between two and 10 per cent of how we interpret the world. “We tend to internalise, disconnect or deny emotions from our childhood that we didn’t have the tools to deal with then. However, our brains and bodies are not designed to tell the difference between memory, reality or imagination. When caught in a loop of memories that have never been fully processed, we see our world through emotionally charged, maybe fearful, angry, frustrated, sad, overwhelmed or judgemental eyes! Then it becomes important to heal from the past because the past becomes the present again and again and this causes us to feel stuck and stressed, and to struggle,” says Diane. www.thelifelinetechnique.com.au

“Nobody wants unhappiness, pain or sadness, and yet many of us wake up feeling like that every single day. Living in peace, confidence, good health and happiness is not unattainable.”

To alleviate stress and anxiety, Diane has the following three tips:

1. Live for today. “Connect with the world in the present moment. Regretting the past and worrying about the future will only keep you cycling in reactive patterns of stress,” says Diane.

2. Think and speak positively. “Listen to the language you use when talking to yourself, and make a concerted effort to choose positive terminology. Where positive rhetoric can help in healing your body with your mind, negative language can also make you ill.”

3. Be wary of stress. “Observe any symptoms of stress from a place of clarity and see them as dialogue to converse with your subconscious mind (where stress is buried unprocessed),” Diane says. “Journal or meditate to help you understand where the stress or anxiety is actually coming from.”

The LifeLine Technique will be holding events in Sydney on February 20, Melbourne on February 21 and Adelaide on March 1.
