GE To Increase Pension Payments To 100,000 Pensioners On December 1

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – WEBWIRE

Today GE announced it will make a voluntary increase in its pension payments to about 100,000 eligible pensioners and surviving spouses - beginning with December 2015 pension checks. The increase provides more to those who have been retired the longest with annual benefit increases to pensioners ranging from $120 to $360.

“We are pleased to provide this increase which recognizes the past achievements of GE retirees,” said Susan Peters, senior vice president, Human Resources, GE.

Letters explaining each individual’s payment will be sent to qualifying pensioners and surviving spouses this week. Retired GE executives and their surviving spouses are ineligible for the increase.
