Minneapolis/MN/United States – WEBWIRE

A dazzling mix of humor, crime, teenage awkwardness, and accidental philosophy revolving around three tech savvy teens who hack the New York Stock Exchange.

Minneapolis, MN, July 20 – Author Jeff Isaacson’s debut novel Stock Market Hack, the first in the East Bay series, is now available for kindle on Amazon.com at http://www.amazon.com/dp/B011N5XUPC.  As part of a special promotion, this novel will be available for free from 8/8/15 to 8/12/15.

This novel is about three best friends, Anton, Robert, and Eric, who manage to hack into the New York Stock Exchange and swap out the real stock market for a simple, nearly random computer program the teens created as part of a prank.  The prank is a roaring success, but there’s one serious problem:  The teens can’t hack back into the Stock Exchange, leaving their nearly random computer program to function as the stock market.

As the days drag on and their computer program continues to baffle the experts and function as the market, the teens question everything.  They question authority.  They question themselves.  They question the meaning of life.  They question if we would even know if everything in life was just randomly generated by a computer program.  Most of all, they question if and when they are going to jail.

Isaacson is a community mental health worker currently working at 3 different programs.  He is hoping for enough success as a writer to cut down to 2 different programs.  Isaacson has a B.A. in psychology from the University of Minnesota (Go Gophers!) and an M.A. in a human development program that had an emphasis on writing.  Isaacson has written many books, but this was the first one that he believes is good enough for an audience.
