“While I love the people of Cocoa Village, especially the ones who give me treats, the time has come for me to move on.” Toto.

With a heavy heart, the well-known spokespup of Brevard County’s top jeweler announced he is retiring at the end of the month with a week-long celebration.

Toto, a Yorkie, has been the spokespup of Jon’s Fine Jewelry for more than a decade.  He has decided to retire to spend more time in the sun with his long-time pal, Paco.

“While I love the people of Cocoa Village, especially the ones who give me treats, the time has come for me to move on,” said Toto.

All of the people who work at Jon’s Fine Jewelry are sad to see him go, but they understand every dog has its day.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better spokesanimal,” said Jon Miller, acclaimed designer of custom jewelry since 1979. “Customers love to be greeted by Toto in the store, plus he has been on our Christmas card for years.”

Toto, a former Brevard Humane Society “Posh Pet” finalist would like people to honor his retirement with gifts for his friends at the shelter. He is asking people to come into Jon’s Fine Jewelry the last week in April and donate needed items for the Brevard Humane Society.

“We are always in need of donations and Jon’s has always been a great contributor to us,” said Theresa Clifton, Executive Director of the Brevard Humane Society.

The critical items they need are Whiskas Purrfectly Fish wet cat food, Puppy Chow canned dog food pate, dog toys, puppy potty training pads, small critter toys (rabbit, Guinea pig, rat), digital thermometers, bleach, Fabuloso, and cat toys.

“We encourage anyone who can help to come by the store and donate these items and sign a card for Toto,” said Scherri Gollehon, Toto’s owner and store manager. “His last day on the job is April 25th from 1:00 until 5:00 pm.”

Jon’s Fine Jewelry is a full-service jeweler that offers custom-designed jewelry as well as jewelry from the finest sources in the world.  It is located in historic Cocoa Village, Fla.
