Key Largo Scuba News: Terry Schaefer Will Lead the Integration of Ocean Divers, Pirate Island Divers, and Divers Direct

KEY LARGO, Florida, USA (April 1, 2015) – Holiday Diver, Inc. (HDI), the parent company of Divers Direct is proud to announce that Terry Schaefer has accepted the mission of leading the team in charge of the successful integration of Divers Direct, Ocean Divers and Pirate Island Divers. 

“Following last week’s announcement of the acquisition of Pirate Island Divers, and this week’s announcement of the acquisition of Ocean Divers, we need to ensure a smooth integration of the 3 teams and 3 cultures. We count on Terry’s expertise and the collaboration of the professional staff in all 3 companies to make it a success for all” says Darcy Kieran, president of Divers Direct.

Terry Schaefer has been with Divers Direct for 16 years, where she’s managed the opening of 5 Divers Direct retail stores. 

Schaefer says, “Over the past 16 years, I’ve had the pleasure of being part of many new and exciting things here at Divers Direct.  But I can honestly say, that nothing compares with the excitement I feel about the integration of Pirate Island, Ocean Divers and Divers Direct in Key Largo. About Ocean Divers

Ocean Divers operates the largest fleet of dive charters in Florida from their own dock and facilities near Divers Direct large dive store in Key Largo. Ocean Divers also operates a PADI Career Development Center training scuba diving instructors for recreational and tech diving courses, and leases some of its property to tenants including NOAA, a restaurant-bar and a hyperbaric chamber. Subject to due diligence, the deal is expected to close on June 1, 2015.

Pirate Island Divers is a PADI 5 Star dive instructor development resort located at the Key Largo Bay, Marriott Beach Resort in the Upper Florida Keys. Pirate Island Divers also offers rentals of jet skis, paddleboards, boats and other resort activities. Subject to due diligence, the deal is expected to close on May 1, 2015.
