EXHIBITORLIVE Asks Event Marketing Community to Support Nevada Book Drive, Teacher Exchange Program

Exhibitor Media Group, the award-winning leader in trade show and corporate event marketing education, today announced that it is partnering with Spread the Word Nevada and Teacher EXCHANGE™ with the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino to help the Nevada educational community during its EXHIBITORLIVE conference and exhibition, taking place March 1-5, 2015 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. 

The Kids to Kids literacy program helps provide at-risk students with books to call their own.  The EXHIBITORLIVE team is urging all attendees, exhibitors, and speakers to bring and donate new or used books for this worthy cause. Spread the Word Nevada will refurbish the used books so they look like new.  The organization adopts schools that have a high number of at-risk students and donates the books to keep.  Books ranging from pre-kindergarten through an eighth grade reading level are accepted, including the Sesame Street, Barney, Winnie the Pooh, Clifford, Dora, Arthur, and Biscuit books.  They are currently in desperate need of third to fifth grade chapter books like Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Junie B Jones, Magic Treehouse, Goosebumps, and Captain Underpants.

“As an avid reader, I am overjoyed that we can help put books in the hands of at-risk children,” commented Dee Silfies, chief learning strategist, EXHIBITOR Learning Events. “We want to help Spread the Word Nevada distribute as many books as possible, so these children can keep, treasure, and develop a life-long love of books.”

Through the ongoing Teacher EXCHANGE program , EXHIBITORLIVE is asking exhibitors to donate surplus materials to help Nevada school teachers. The Teacher EXCHANGE program helps collect and recycle thousands of pounds of supplies and materials that would have been disposed in local landfills. These reusable items are offered by the Teacher EXCHANGE to Southern Nevada’s public school teachers to aid in the creation of vibrant and innovative projects and curriculum in their classrooms.

“When I was a student, I was astounded by the creative ways many of my teachers were able to use the simplest items to help with our learning process,” stated John Pavek, chief marketing officer, Exhibitor Media Group.  “I know that the public school teachers of southern Nevada can find creative ways to use almost anything to benefit their students’ educations, including basic office supplies, such as pencils and notebooks, to exhibition set-up materials and product samples.”
