A crew of Divers Direct staff members recently celebrated 30 years of success at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. CEO, Kevin Senecal was delighted to be able to treat his loyal staff members to an evening of appetizers and cocktails at an exclusive location at the Hard Rock Casino in the Nevada desert. Party guests included all 6 store managers, President Darcy Kieran, and retiring President Trish Gonzalez, who has been with the company for 15 years.

Senecal says: “I am so proud of my crew who have stood by me and made Divers Direct what it is today. Without their hard work and dedication, none of this would be possible. I am thankful that I have such talented people on my team – this celebration is my way of saying thank you!”

Darcy Kieran has exciting plans for Divers Direct involving diversifying the expertise of the staff to include other watersports such as freediving, spearfishing and paddling. Kieran says: “Running a business is never smooth sailing all of the time -- at Divers Direct we have a skillful and dedicated crew who have helped us stay in business and grow as a company. We are thoroughly excited about what the next few years have in store for us!”

The DEMA Show 2014 (Dive Equipment & Marketing Association)
The world’s largest scuba convention, The DEMA Show, was held in Las Vegas this year. Divers Direct store managers and buyers attended the show to see the unveiling of a plethora of exciting new diving and photography equipment. The DEMA show is also a chance to catch up with the heroes of the diving industry through various channels of presentations, meetings and social events. It is a celebration of everything about the dive industry, and it seems only appropriate it is where the crew of Divers Direct were gathered on their 30 year anniversary.

Emocean Club
Earlier this year Divers Direct introduced Emocean Club courses which offer the highest standards of training and experience currently available in the scuba diving industry. Students graduating from Emocean Club programs graduate with more knowledge and confidence, and as more relaxed divers. “More relaxed divers have more fun and continue diving!” says Kieran.
