AmeriPride Corporate Employees and Vendor Partners Raise $125K for United Way in Honor of 125th Anniversary

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – WEBWIRE

AmeriPride Services Inc., a leading textile services and supply company in North America, announced their corporate employees raised more than $125K for the Twin Cities United Way through the annual AmeriPride Golf Tournament and other fundraising events. Together with vendor partners and corporate donations, AmeriPride exceeded its goal to raise $125K in celebration of the company’s 125th anniversary
this year.

“We really wanted to raise the bar and do something special for our milestone anniversary,” said Bill Evans, President and CEO of AmeriPride. “Our company has a long legacy of service to our customers and the communities that we operate, and we have been partnering with the United Way for years. This effort was done in conjunction with a company-wide ‘Day of Service’ effort in which all of our 45 branches were encouraged to plan and execute community service programs.”

This year’s campaign included the annual golf tournament at Bearpath Golf & Country Club in Eden Prairie, as well as other internal activities and an employee payroll deduction program. Employees from the corporate headquarters in Minnetonka participated in the events, as well as vendor partners that provide products and services to the organization. The company’s donation to the United Way increased by 15 percent over last year and has more than doubled in the last three years.

“Of all the things we have accomplished in the last few years, this is something I’m most proud of,” said Evans. “The generosity of our employees, vendors and family owners is really extraordinary. They really are people you can
count on.”

The Greater Twin Cities United Way benefits people in Anoka, Carver, Chisago, Dakota, Hennepin, Isanti, Ramsey, Scott and western Washington counties. Funds go toward stabilizing families, helping children succeed and empowering healthy lives.

“We appreciate AmeriPride’s dedication and commitment to the United Way, and we applaud their efforts to grow their community giving program year over year,” said Sarah Caruso, CEO at the Greater Twin Cities United Way. “Companies like AmeriPride allow us to continue to help children and families in the community and grow our charitable programs in the area.”
