CHAMPS Renews Dairymens’ Agreement to Continue Offering Savings to Members

CHAMPS Group Purchasing recently renewed its agreement with Dairymens to continue offering its members significant savings on milk, milk products and yogurt as well as seasonal beverages including, apple cider, egg nog, iced tea and lemonade. 

“CHAMPS is excited to renew our contract with Dairymens,” said Jan Elder, director of contracting services, CHAMPS Group Purchasing. “The success of our long-standing relationship is based on quality, value and service provided by Dairymens to our members. As in the past, Dairymens offers firm pricing, allowing CHAMPS’ members to ‘lock in’ their dairy costs in a fluctuating market.”

Dairymens in Cleveland (also known as Borden Dairy Company of Ohio, LLC) and H. Meyer Dairy in Cincinnati (also known as Borden Dairy of Cincinnati, LLC) are both owned by Borden Dairy Company. These two original contracts are now one contract and extend access and distribution to reach 81 counties in Ohio, 25 counties in Indiana and 16 counties in Kentucky. The Dairymens’ contract renewal extends the agreement through October 2017.

“This renewal agreement between Dairymens and CHAMPS will enable members to continue to purchase high-quality, locally-produced dairy products at a competitive price,” said Kevin McHenry, 17-year sales representative, Borden Dairy.
 
The price increase for products is effective September 29, 2014. Individual product prices vary and Dairymens is adjusting to demand in the marketplace.
