Registration Open for Double Road Race, a Unique New Running Sport

Integrated Device Technology, Inc. (IDT®) (NASDAQ: IDTI) announced today that registration is open for the San Jose Double Racing Festival, a unique running festival on Aug. 23 that splits the running into two legs. IDT is again the primary sponsor of the San Jose event, which creator Bob Anderson, founder of Runner’s World magazine, describes as “the only running event with a halftime.”

The signature Double Road Race 15K Challenge begins and ends at IDT headquarters in south San Jose, with a 10K followed by about an hour of resting before starting on the 5K. Times are combined for scoring.  All Double finishers receive a medal, high-performance shirt, draw-string tote bag, and a color program.

Two other racing events are scheduled as well. Those who find the Double Road Race 15k Challenge too daunting can register for the UjENA 5K Double. And children 13 and younger can participate in the 1.5-mile Kids Cup Double. All races include a halftime.

“It seems only fitting that a company well-known in the semiconductor world for its timing products should sponsor a racing competition,” said Theresa Dooley of IDT. “We’ve worked hard to make this a family-friendly event, so regardless of what place runners or walkers take in any of the three races, we’re confident all participants will have a great time.”
