Career outcomes data for the 2014 graduating class indicate 66% of undergraduates have an occupation following graduation

31,761 graduates in the 2014 survey cohort from 44 colleges and universities in 22 states have been surveyed using The Outcomes Survey and preliminary results* are in: The market for new grads is looking good. 66% of respondents from undergraduate programs indicated they were engaged in some type of occupation (employment, military service, additional education, or volunteer service).

The 2014 Preliminary Report* - 31,761 graduates from 44 colleges and universities in 22 states have been surveyed, and with 26% responding as of May 31, 2014, the market looks good for the class of 2014!

In total, 66% of respondents from undergraduate programs indicated they were engaged in some type of occupation (employment, military service, additional education, or volunteer service).

According to the preliminary data,

  • The median reported salary for undergraduate students in the period approaching or directly following graduation is $35,000.
  • 41% of undergraduates reported being employed full-time.
  • More than 50% indicated they held full or part-time employment.
  • Only 26% indicated they were unemployed and still seeking employment with 23% indicating that seeking employment was their primary post-graduation activity.
  • Nearly 18% of undergraduates reported that they had enrolled in additional education with an additional 16% indicating they were still seeking additional educational opportunities.
