MATS to Host Spike TV PowerNation Host Courtney Hansen as a Special Guest

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – MATS, an annual, three-day motor sports extravaganza in Las Vegas, Nev., today announced that Courtney Hansen, host of the “PowerNation” automotive how-to show airing on Spike TV, NBCSN and CBS Sports Network, would be a special guest at its 2014 event, to be held April 11-13 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Hansen is a well-known television personality, author and self-described gear head. She started her TV career as co-host of the hit car makeover series “Overhaulin’.” Hansen went on to host Spike TV’s “PowerBlock,” which was composed of four automotive-themed shows, as well as a special for the network called “Great Builds.” In the past, she hosted TLC’s “Rides” and “Million Dollar Motors.”

Hansen has been a spokes-model for Matco Tools, Dodge and Rolls Royce. Additionally, she wrote a column for FHM and has written a nationally syndicated automotive newspaper column titled “Courtney Hansen: Full Throttle” since 2005. She is also the author of “The Garage Girl’s Guide To Everything You Need To Know About Your Car,” a book offering women and first-time car buyers advice on how to care for their vehicles.

Prior to MATS, Hansen will attend a “meet & greet” at Salt Lake Valley Dodge, 2309 South State, Salt Lake City, Utah, on Wednesday, April 9, at 4:00 pm, and then take part in the Mopar®-oriented “MoPower Cruise” from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas. She will join other special guests at MATS, including Tom Hoover, who pioneered the Chrysler® Hemi® engine, and original members of the legendary Ramchargers drag racing team.
