Everybody is Talking about The Smoke - Pre Order the DVD at Acorn Today

What a way to make an entrance! The Smoke, Sky’s new drama about London firefighters, blazed onto TV screens last week and it is now available to pre-order on DVD at the Acorn online store.

The high octane new show, from the makers of Broadchurch and Spooks, will hit stores on 14 April 2014 and Acorn shoppers can pre-order their copy of this great news series today.

Starring Jamie Bamber as Kev, a firefighter searching for justice after the most traumatic call-out of his career causes him to question himself, both as a hero and as a man. The Smoke also stars Jodie Whittaker as Kev’s girlfriend, who is striving to hold on to love and hope against the odds and Rhashan Stone as best mate Mal, whose loyalty will be tested to the extreme.

Critics, viewers and tweeters agreed that The Smoke was a shot in the arm for TV drama; and adrenaline-fuelled action TV at its best. The opening scene in particular generated plenty of buzz for hurling fans into the burning-building action; often from the POV of lead actor Jamie Bamber.
